Product Description

Presage Style 60s Crown Chronograph 60th Anniversary Limited Edition. Available only in a controlled-run of 5,000, with the production serial number engraved on each caseback, this exceptional Limited Edition blends the finest in Japanese mechanical watchmaking with superior craftsmanship and design. Celebrating the fresh spirit of the 1960s, this design is an homage to Seikos 1964 Crown Chronograph, Japans first watch with a stopwatch function. The dial inherits the original layout, color, and finish while the bracelet features a combination hairline and mirror finish and look and feel similar to the 1964 model. Framed by a black bezel, the light beige dial includes a date calendar and LumiBrite hands and markers. The screwdown see-through caseback provides a view of the 23-jewel automatic movement with manual winding capability, a frequency of 21,600 vibrations per hour and a power reserve of approximately 41 hours. Crafted of stainless steel, this distinctive timepiece includes a box-shaped crystal and tri-fold push button release clasp, and is presented in a vintage inspired Limited Edition collectors box. 5 bar, 50M Water Resistant

Brand History

Seiko, founded in 1881 by Kintaro Hattori in Tokyo, began as a watch and clock repair shop before launching its first wristwatch, the Laurel, in 1913. The Seiko brand debuted in 1924, symbolizing precision and craftsmanship. In 1969, Seiko revolutionized the industry with the Seiko Astron, the world’s first quartz wristwatch. The company also pioneered technologies like the Kinetic in the 1980s and Spring Drive in 1999, blending mechanical elegance with quartz accuracy. Today, Seiko is renowned for its innovations and diverse offerings, from affordable watches to high-end models under its Grand Seiko line.
