Product Description

Seiko 5 Sports Field GMT. For decades, Seiko 5 Sports has delivered consistently high levels of reliability, durability, and performance. Equipped with automatic technology that you control with every movement, this versatile watch combines the clear and highly visible design elements of the Field style with the convenience of viewing the time in a second time zone. This timepiece is powered by a 24-jewel movement that beats at a frequency of 21,600 vibrations per hour, with a power reserve of approximately 41 hours and manual winding capability. Framed by a metalized black GMT bezel, the black dial features bold luminous hands and markers, a date calendar, and a large red-orange GMT hand for instant visibility. A black leather strap adds rich texture and wearability, while the coordinating stainless steel case with black hard coating includes a screwdown see-through caseback for a view of classic timekeeping in action. 10 bar, 100M Water Resistant

Brand History

Seiko, founded in 1881 by Kintaro Hattori in Tokyo, began as a watch and clock repair shop before launching its first wristwatch, the Laurel, in 1913. The Seiko brand debuted in 1924, symbolizing precision and craftsmanship. In 1969, Seiko revolutionized the industry with the Seiko Astron, the world’s first quartz wristwatch. The company also pioneered technologies like the Kinetic in the 1980s and Spring Drive in 1999, blending mechanical elegance with quartz accuracy. Today, Seiko is renowned for its innovations and diverse offerings, from affordable watches to high-end models under its Grand Seiko line.
