Product Description

Prospex JAWS 50th Anniversary Limited Edition. Designed for those who treat life as the ultimate adventure, Seiko Prospex challenges every limit with timepieces created to exceed expectations, engineered with superior style and innovative technology for the sea, sky or land. Inspired by the iconic film, JAWS, this incredible and highly collectible Limited Edition is available only in a controlled-production run of 5,000, with the serial number and an image of the “Orca”, the boat made famous by the film and a shark’s dorsal fin engraved on each screwdown caseback. The blue and white ombre dial pattern depicts a memorable scene from the film, and the title logo, “JAWS,” is prominently displayed at the 6 o’clock position. Featuring a magnified day/date calendar and LumiBrite hands and markers, the stunning dial is framed by a navy blue ceramic uni-directional rotating elapsed timing bezel. For reliable timing in rough waters, the 24-jewel automatic movement beats at a frequency of 21,600 vibrations per hour, with a power reserve of approximately 41 hours, with manual winding capability. In stainless steel, with secure screwdown crown and caseback, anti-reflective sapphire crystal and deep blue silicone strap, this high-intensity watch is suitable for scuba diving to depths of 200m. Presented in a Limited Edition JAWS 50th Anniversary collector’s box. 200m Water Resistant

Brand History

Seiko, founded in 1881 by Kintaro Hattori in Tokyo, began as a watch and clock repair shop before launching its first wristwatch, the Laurel, in 1913. The Seiko brand debuted in 1924, symbolizing precision and craftsmanship. In 1969, Seiko revolutionized the industry with the Seiko Astron, the world’s first quartz wristwatch. The company also pioneered technologies like the Kinetic in the 1980s and Spring Drive in 1999, blending mechanical elegance with quartz accuracy. Today, Seiko is renowned for its innovations and diverse offerings, from affordable watches to high-end models under its Grand Seiko line.
