Product Description

Seiko 145th Anniversary Limited Edition. Designed for those who treat life as the ultimate adventure, Seiko Prospex challenges every limit with timepieces created to exceed expectations, engineered with superior style and innovative technology for the sea, sky or land. Commemorating Seiko’s 145th anniversary and available only as part of a Limited Edition production run, this captivating creation expresses a blue and white color motif representing the brand’s current innovation and signature colors, while the case and bracelet design pays homage to one of the most iconic diving styles. For reliable timing in rough waters, the 23-jewel automatic movement beats at a frequency of 21,600 vibrations per hour, with a power reserve of approximately 41 hours, and manual winding capability. Framed by a blue uni-directional rotating elapsed timing bezel, the silvery white dial includes a date calendar and LumiBrite hands and markers for outstanding visibility in low-light conditions. Crafted of stainless steel, this high-intensity timepiece is engineered for scuba diving and is equipped with a secure screwdown crown and caseback and a tri-fold push button release clasp with secure lock and extender.

Brand History

Seiko, founded in 1881 by Kintaro Hattori in Tokyo, began as a watch and clock repair shop before launching its first wristwatch, the Laurel, in 1913. The Seiko brand debuted in 1924, symbolizing precision and craftsmanship. In 1969, Seiko revolutionized the industry with the Seiko Astron, the world’s first quartz wristwatch. The company also pioneered technologies like the Kinetic in the 1980s and Spring Drive in 1999, blending mechanical elegance with quartz accuracy. Today, Seiko is renowned for its innovations and diverse offerings, from affordable watches to high-end models under its Grand Seiko line.
