Product Description

Inspired by Andrew Hamilton, an eighteenth-century campaigner for freedom of speech and owner of the site of the original Hamilton watch factory in Pennsylvania, these timepieces build a strong bridge from history to today. The H-21 chronograph movement, with a typical power reserve of 60 hours, propels this timepiece into the 21st century while the leather straps carrying the inscription Without liberty, life is a misery reference Hamilton's rich heritage.

Brand History

Hamilton Watches was founded in 1892 in Lancaster, Pennsylvania, USA. Initially known for its precise pocket watches, Hamilton gained fame as the "Watch of Railroad Accuracy," ensuring train schedules ran safely. During World War II, the company shifted to producing durable military watches. In the 1950s, Hamilton introduced the Ventura, the world’s first electric watch, blending innovation with bold design. The brand also became a favorite in Hollywood, appearing in iconic films. Now part of the Swatch Group, Hamilton is celebrated for combining American heritage with Swiss precision, offering both classic and modern timepieces.
