Product Description

Casio and Kanoa Igarashi team up again for a third signature G-SHOCK collaboration. Take to the waves in a special timepiece designed with the stellar TEAM G-SHOCK pro surfer. This watch is all about stealth black— a base of jet-black and a case and band in different shades of black, at Kanoa’s request. We begin with the GLX5600 from the G-LIDE line. The wide watch face with LCD delivers clear tide graph and moon age readings like previous models, and also provides high/low tide times and levels, and sunrise/sunset times — all at a glance. Tough and practical with a metal wire frame to protect the watch face, this is a design that is also gentle on the environment. Bio-based resin in a mix of black and grey for the bezel and band helps reduce environmental impact while creating a unique pattern that evokes vigorous, dynamic waves — this special collaboration does it all with style. This watch is built to help surfers prepare for tough competitions around the world with the never-give-up toughness worthy of a surfing champion. Kanoa’s signature on the watch crystal adds a final touch of inspiration for the intrepid surfer ready to take to the water. Kanoa Igarashi Pro surfer Igarashi started surfing at the age of three, and at age nine, he became the youngest person ever to join the USA surfing team. At the age of 14, he became the youngest ever to win the USA Championship Under-18. He began participating in the WSL Championship Tour in 2016, and has gone on to win a number of major surfing competitions. Caution: Individual Differences in Products Due to the characteristics of mixed material color of resin, there are individual differences in the pattern, color tone, and distribution/amount of color resins on the surface of each part (bezel, band) for each timepiece.

Brand History

G-Shock, created by Casio in 1983, was the brainchild of engineer Kikuo Ibe, who aimed to design an unbreakable watch. The result was the DW-5000C, featuring a shock-resistant structure, 200-meter water resistance, and unparalleled durability. G-Shock quickly became popular for its toughness, functionality, and bold design, appealing to athletes, military personnel, and adventurers. Over the years, the brand introduced advanced features like solar power, Bluetooth connectivity, and GPS. Celebrated for its innovation and resilience, G-Shock remains a global icon, known for watches that are “built to last.”
