Product Description

Transport to the streets of Paris with Remy, the rat chef extraordinaire, with this cheeky Disney and Pixar’s Ratatouille timepiece from Citizen. The rose...gold-tone stainless steel case is secured by a black quilted leather strap. On the dial is a detailed illustration of Remy whipping up his famous soup against the romantic Parisian skyline. The dial uses stylizedfeatures fantastical curled numerals with the 7 o’clock hour marker illustrated as a noodle floating in Remy’s soup. Ticking atop the colorful illustration are three Parisian-inspired rose gold-tone hands indicating the hour, minute, and second. Sustainably powered by any light, with our Eco-Drive technology this charming watch never needs a battery.

Brand History

In the Japan of the 1920s, most of the watches sold were pocket watches imported from overseas. Determined to create a Japan-made rival product, the Shokosha Watch Research Institute, the precursor of CITIZEN, launched its own pocket watch in 1924. As a first product, it was magnificent—but it lacked a name. Tokyo Mayor Count Shinpei Goto was asked to suggest one. The name he came up with was “CITIZEN,” an expression of the hope that as many people as possible—citizens—would use and cherish the watch for a long time.
