Product Description

Capturing the essence of exploration in the air, on land, or at sea, the Promaster line celebrates its 35th anniversary of professional-grade adventure with a new limited edition series. This new Promaster Land joins the limited series, featuring purpose-built technology alongside gray camouflage detailing. From its bold case inward, the watch is ready for action, featuring a 43.9mm stainless steel case with a gray IP coating and camo accents for durability that goes the distance. On the dial, luminous hands and markers stand out on a camo black background for high legibility, while a combination of digital and analog details ensures mission-ready wear. Two right-side pushers and an 8 o'clock crown to move the watch's compass scale help the user operate Promaster’s high-performance function on the display, which includes a world time, chronograph, alarm, light level indicator, perpetual calendar, power save mode, charge level display, and summertime display. The limited edition Promaster is sustainably powered by any light with our proprietary Eco-Drive technology, so it never needs a battery. This high-performance watch comes with an interchangeable camo strap and an exclusive gray tackle box. Water resistant to 200 meters. Caliber U822.Limited to 5,900 unnumbered pieces worldwide.

Brand History

In the Japan of the 1920s, most of the watches sold were pocket watches imported from overseas. Determined to create a Japan-made rival product, the Shokosha Watch Research Institute, the precursor of CITIZEN, launched its own pocket watch in 1924. As a first product, it was magnificent—but it lacked a name. Tokyo Mayor Count Shinpei Goto was asked to suggest one. The name he came up with was “CITIZEN,” an expression of the hope that as many people as possible—citizens—would use and cherish the watch for a long time.
