Product Description

“Heroes aren’t born, they’re built,” Tony Stark informs us. The CEO of Stark Industries and one of the original Avengers vaulted to the top of the Super Hero ecosystem when he engineered his... famous exoskeleton suit. With an ingenious design by legendary comic book artist Adam Kubert to match his genius subject, the dial features Stark in his flying mode looking as though he’s going to shatter the watch’s crystal, with the dial’s hands, markers, arc reactor, and sky trail behind him illuminated. The bold 43mm black IP stainless steel case is complemented by a perforated black leather strap with red contrast stitching. The case back is etched with his business card for a witty touch, and the set is completed by a collectible pin. Stark himself would be impressed that this watch is sustainably powered by any light with Citizen’s proprietary Eco-Drive technology and never needs a battery. © 2025 MARVEL

Brand History

In the Japan of the 1920s, most of the watches sold were pocket watches imported from overseas. Determined to create a Japan-made rival product, the Shokosha Watch Research Institute, the precursor of CITIZEN, launched its own pocket watch in 1924. As a first product, it was magnificent—but it lacked a name. Tokyo Mayor Count Shinpei Goto was asked to suggest one. The name he came up with was “CITIZEN,” an expression of the hope that as many people as possible—citizens—would use and cherish the watch for a long time.
