Product Description

Reach a higher altitude in style and performance with the new Promaster Nighthawk X Sikorsky. Produced in collaboration with Sikorsky, a U.S. aircraft manufacturer and a global leader... in aviation, and inspired by the Sikorsky S-70 medium transport/utility helicopter, the special edition is a professional-grade timepiece with mission-ready flair. Adventure-ready with its 42.4mm stainless steel case and knurled crown details, the timepiece is secured to the wrist via an interchangeable black or yellow polyurethane strap. On its dark display, a time-and-date configuration works alongside an outer professional-grade scale, with white and yellow accents paying homage to the S-70. Sustainably powered by any light with Eco-Drive technology and that never needs a battery, this mission-ready watch comes in a special Promaster tackle box, with an additional yellow rubber strap and is water resistant to 200 meters.

Brand History

In the Japan of the 1920s, most of the watches sold were pocket watches imported from overseas. Determined to create a Japan-made rival product, the Shokosha Watch Research Institute, the precursor of CITIZEN, launched its own pocket watch in 1924. As a first product, it was magnificent—but it lacked a name. Tokyo Mayor Count Shinpei Goto was asked to suggest one. The name he came up with was “CITIZEN,” an expression of the hope that as many people as possible—citizens—would use and cherish the watch for a long time.
