Product Description

Inspired by the beautiful oceans that unite the world, the watches of Citizen's UNITE with BLUE series join the colors of the seven seas on one 100% recycled polycarbonate dial. Highlighting... Citizen's commitment to sustainability, the series now includes models from the Promaster Dive, CITIZEN xC, Attesa, and Sport Luxury lines. This Limited Edition model comes as part of the PCAT collection, marking a unique take on the cutting-edge style. The sharp chronograph features a silver-tone stainless steel case measuring 43mm in diameter. Secured to the wrist via a matching 5-link bracelet, this striking timepiece also features an outer tachymeter and inner world time-equipped bezels that hint at the elevated technological capabilities of the watch, while a duo of stepped chronograph pushers and crown guards provide a sleek and sporty touch. On the ocean-inspired dial, a three-register chronograph is at work, with touches of greens, purples, and blues adding wave-like dimensionality alongside the utility of a day and date display. Other advanced features include atomic timekeeping technology with synchronized time adjustment available in 24 time zones, a chronograph measuring up to 60 minutes, a perpetual calendar, 12/24 hour time, an alarm, and a power reserve indicator. This high-performance men’s watch is sustainably powered by Citizen’s proprietary Eco-Drive technology, so it never needs a battery. Water resistant up to 100 meters. Caliber E660. Limited to 5,400 unnumbered pieces worldwide.

Brand History

In the Japan of the 1920s, most of the watches sold were pocket watches imported from overseas. Determined to create a Japan-made rival product, the Shokosha Watch Research Institute, the precursor of CITIZEN, launched its own pocket watch in 1924. As a first product, it was magnificent—but it lacked a name. Tokyo Mayor Count Shinpei Goto was asked to suggest one. The name he came up with was “CITIZEN,” an expression of the hope that as many people as possible—citizens—would use and cherish the watch for a long time.
