Product Description

Innovative technology once again meets elevated chronograph styling in Citizen's latest: the new Radio Control AT8267. A 43mm stainless steel case in gray and rose gold-tones solidifies the design, with a matching bracelet securing the watch to the wrist. A faceted crown and chronograph pushers add a stylish touch, balancing traditional details with smart, modern accents. On the deep red dial, a vertical three-register chronograph is at work, with appliques of more rose gold-tones adding dimensionality alongside the utility of a 3 o'clock date display. Other advanced features include world time in 26 time zones, a perpetual calendar with day and date indicators, 12/24-hour timekeeping, and a power reserve display. Featuring light-powered Eco-Drive Atomic Timekeeping functionality, the radio controlled timepiece self-adjusts to time or calendar when traveling overseas by receiving local time signals in four different regions. Water resistant up to 100 meters. Caliber H800.

Brand History

In the Japan of the 1920s, most of the watches sold were pocket watches imported from overseas. Determined to create a Japan-made rival product, the Shokosha Watch Research Institute, the precursor of CITIZEN, launched its own pocket watch in 1924. As a first product, it was magnificent—but it lacked a name. Tokyo Mayor Count Shinpei Goto was asked to suggest one. The name he came up with was “CITIZEN,” an expression of the hope that as many people as possible—citizens—would use and cherish the watch for a long time.
