Product Description

Classic lines and hints of romance make this newest piece to our women’s collection, the Citizen L Arcly, a glamorous addition of sustainable luxury. With a design inspired and celebrating the 10th anniversary of the first Citizen “Sunrise,” the distinctive silver-tone stainless steel timepiece is a charming accent on the wrist that’s perfect for everyday wear. Sleek lines define the watch's 31.2mm silhouette, with a subtle crown and small diamond accent adding to its captivatingly delicate look; an interchangeable deep red apple leather strap adds to its daily versatility. On its deep red dial, applied markers and sharp hands indicate the time in style, keeping the attention on the pure aestheticism of the timepiece. Sustainably powered by any light with our proprietary Eco-Drive technology that never needs a battery, this elegant women’s watch is the perfect addition to any outfit. Water resistant to 50 meters. Caliber E031. Exclusively on Citizenwatch.com.

Brand History

In the Japan of the 1920s, most of the watches sold were pocket watches imported from overseas. Determined to create a Japan-made rival product, the Shokosha Watch Research Institute, the precursor of CITIZEN, launched its own pocket watch in 1924. As a first product, it was magnificent—but it lacked a name. Tokyo Mayor Count Shinpei Goto was asked to suggest one. The name he came up with was “CITIZEN,” an expression of the hope that as many people as possible—citizens—would use and cherish the watch for a long time.
